Library News for February 7, 2018

The Allen County Public Library is seeking families with school age children to  participate in Prime Time Family Read Night. This six-week program will start on Thursday, February 22. Prime Time Family Read Night is an award-winning, reading, discussion, and storytelling series based on Children’s illustrated books. This program is made possible due to a grant from the Kentucky Humanities Council. We’ll start the program with a light meal at 5:00 pm and begin the program at 5:30 with plans to end at 6:45. This is a free program, but space is limited, so families must pre-register to attend. Call 270-237-3861 to register.

On Monday, February 12 at 2:00 o’clock, join Ms. Amanda for Monday Roots. She’ll help you learn how to research your roots using Ancestry.com and Heritage Quest.

Preschool children are invited to Story Hour on Tuesdays at 10:00 am and Saturdays at 1:00 pm. Toddler Time is Thursdays at 10:00 am. We hope you make visiting the library a part of your child’s weekly routine.

Join us on Wednesdays at 2:00 for chair yoga. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing, using a chair for support.

Loose Ends will teach you to knit or crochet. Crafters meet every Tuesday at 3:30. Supplies are provided for beginners.
