SUMMARY:Cool Kids Book Club
DESCRIPTION:Cool Kids Book Club is a weekly program that children of all ages can attend.  Mrs. Amanda chooses a title that is then read aloud each week as a group.  After 40-45 minutes of reading\, a small writing activity takes place that reviews what we read during the meeting.  These writing activities help establish the setting of the story\, as well as thinking critically about the events that have taken place. \nThis month our Cool Kids will begin reading “Little House in the Big Woods” by Laura Ingalls Wilder.  Literature based activities will take place throughout this unit.  Occasionally throughout the month\, the kids will get to watch an episode of Little House on the Prairie.  Healthy snacks will be provided. \nThis unit will take place for the next 6-8 weeks. \n
