Books on the Square is a monthly book club for adults to meet every third Tuesday of the month at 1PM CST.
Every month, selected books are discussed over yummy treats. Leaders are picked to prompt questions and keep the discussion flowing. This is a great club to join. It helps to make reading a routine and it may have you pick up a book that you might not have thought to read before.
This month we will be discussing The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray. The inside cover flap reads, “The remarkable story of J.P. Morgan’s personal librarian, Belle da Costa Greene, the Black American woman who was forced to hide her true identity and pass as white to leave a legacy that enriched the nation.”
Stop by the library today to check out a copy of “The Personal Librarian.” We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting date, Tuesday, September 20th @ 1PM.
