We will begin working on the letters of the alphabet, as well as other specific strategies to help ready your child for the classroom.

This week is all about the letter “A”.  A is for apple, alligator, airplane, and ant.  What other “A” words can you identify with your child?  Children will be asked to participate by raising their hands to write letters on the board, making the sound for the letter “A”, and identifying uppercase letters from lowercase letters.

We will be reading “Astronaut Training” by Aneta Crus, illustrated by Olivia Aserr.

A is for astronaut!  What do astronauts do?  Where have they been?  What have astronauts seen?

A fun craft will be made after the story, showing an astronaut in space, looking down on our lovely planet, Earth.
