Prime Time Family Reading Time is a family reading and discussion program. A Storyteller reads award winning children’s books, & a discussion leader guides the group to build critical thinking and reading comprehension skills by applying the Socratic method of open-ended questioning & collective learning via group discussion. The program models strategies for at-home reading & discussion & provides families with critical information on library resources for continued reading once the program ends.
We will provide a meal for families who register and attend the program on programming dates. For younger siblings under the age of three, the library will provide child-care so their older siblings and parents can attend the program.
