This program will embrace the dangers of nature and how we can properly prepare ourselves before venturing into the woods.  We are partnering with the Barren River Army Corps.  They will show us safety recommendations, showcasing Bobber the Water Safety Dog.  They will help us identify the dangers in nature.

Ms. Amanda will be reading “Red Riding Hood” by Beatrix Potter.  There are many different renditions of this story, and this one is based on the original.  It reiterates safety in the woods and how we should safe when we’re around strangers and wild animals.

Extension activities will include resources on trail and water safety, as well as instruction on making our own Big Bad Wolf.
