Library News for February 17, 2016

Lego My Library will meet on Saturday, February 20 from 11:00 – Legos12:30. Members will be separated into age groups and build unique creations that will be displayed for three weeks. Library patrons will vote on their favorites and all participants will have a chance to win prizes by attending. We hope your kids will plan to join our Lego My Library Club every third Saturday of the month.

Have you ever wondered why the sky is blue? If so, you’ve pondered the same mystery as Plato, Leonardo DaVinci and Sir Isaac Newton. Students,  ages 10-18, are invited to join us on Monday, Feb. 22 at 5:00 pm for Sky in a Bottle as a part of our Serious About  Science series. Registration is limited to twenty, so you must register for this free program by calling 270-237-3861.

On Monday, Febraury 29, students, ages 10-18, are invited to join us for Star Wars Science with Jason Lidsey. Call 270-237-3861 to register for the free program.

Preschool children can attend Story Hour on Tuesday at 10:00 am and Saturday’s at 1:00 pm. Toddler Time is Thursday at 10:00 am. We hope visiting the library with your child is part of your weekly routine.

Loose Ends will teach you to knit or crochet on every Tuesday at 3:30. Supplies are provided for beginners
