Library News for December 27, 2023

Unless it’s a holiday, the library building is open to the public on Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. – to 7:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – to 4:00 p.m.

The library will be closed on Monday, January 1 for New Year’s Day. The library will reopen on Tuesday, January 2 at 9:00 am.

Toddlers are invited to Toddler Time on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. Parents/guardians may choose from two Pre-K Story Hours for their preschool-age child. We’ll offer the same program on Tuesday and  Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Call 270-237-3861 to reserve your child’s place, or click on the events tab @ www.allencountylibrary.com. On Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., Home-School children ages 5-12 are invited to enrichment programs. The Inbetweens, students ages 10-12, meet on Mondays at 3:30 p.m. We hope you’ll make visiting the library with your children a part of your weekly routine.

Tinker Time in our Maker Space is open every Friday at 2:00 pm. Register online for help with your projects or stop by to explore the space and ask questions. Equipment available includes a Poster Printer, Embroider Machine, Cricut Vinyl Cutter, and more. Sign up today.

Library News for December 20, 2023

The library will be closed on Monday, December 25 for Christmas. The library will reopen on Tuesday, December 26, at 9:00 am and close at 4:00 pm, but there will be no children’s programs for the week of December 25 due to the holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be at the library on Monday, December 18, at 5:00 p.m. Registration is not required, but we will stop taking children at 6:30 p.m. This event is free; we expect many children, so come early and bring your camera.
