Fall Art Contest

What does fall mean to you?  Contemplate that, and then turn those feelings into a beautiful work of art!

This Fall Art Contest sponsored by the Allen County Public Library and the Scottsville Art Guild is for children and teens ages 8-15 years old.  Children and teenagers will be allowed to use any type of media so long as it captures autumn and how it make them feel.  There will be two winners, each receiving a $25.00 gift card.

The library will accept art submissions September 12th through September 16th.  Those who turn in artwork will have the opportunity to have their illustrations and masterpieces displayed in the library.  Winners will be announced on Friday, September 30th.

First Friday’s on the Square: Live with the Scottsville Art Guild

We are thrilled to have the Scottsville Art Guild join the library for a special live event.  Local artists will demonstrate techniques for the public to observe.  This visual performance will allow observers to see a complete work of art from start to finish.

The paint brushes will begin their first strokes at 6PM.  See you then!
