Allen County Public Library News – December 6, 2023

The library building is open to the public on Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. – to 7:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – to 4:00 p.m.

Toddlers are invited to Toddler Time on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. Parents/guardians may choose from two Pre-K Story Hours for their preschool-age child. We’ll offer the same program on Tuesday and  Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Call 270-237-3861 to reserve your child’s place, or click on the events tab @ On Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., Home-School children ages 5-12 are invited to enrichment programs. The Inbetweens, students ages 10-12, meet on Mondays at 3:30 p.m. On Monday, December 11, Teens are invited to home-school enrichment. We hope you’ll make visiting the library with your children a part of your weekly routine.

Tinker Time in our Maker Space is open every Friday at 2:00 pm. Register online for help with your projects or stop by to explore the space and ask questions. Equipment available includes a Poster Printer, Embroider Machine, Cricut Vinyl Cutter, and more. Sign up today.

On Saturday, December 16, at 11:00 am, all school-age kids are invited to Lego My Library.  Builders will be challenged to build a pet.  Register online, as space is limited, and this program is growing in popularity.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be at the library on Monday, December 18, at 5:00 p.m. Registration is not required, but we will stop taking children at 6:30 p.m. This is a free event; we expect many children, so come early and bring your camera.

To get a free library card, call 270-237-3861 or stop by the library with a photo I.D. and a recently postmarked piece of mail. Then, you’ll be able to check out or download library materials. Also, please let us know if there’s a particular book, movie, or music artist you would like added to the collection. We’ll do our best to fulfill your requests.
