The library building is open to the public on Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Summer reading logs are due by 4:00 pm on Friday, July 19, 2024. You can turn them in early if you can’t be here on Friday. Kids who registered for summer reading and turn in their reading logs on time will win $5.00 gift cards from Dairy Queen, Sonic, and Tropical Treats. Thanks to the Friends of the Library for providing funds to buy summer reading prizes. It’s been a fun adventure this summer with Summer Reading programs for kids, teens, and adults.
On Monday, July 22 at 1:00 pm, teens are invited for an adventure movie. On Tuesday, July 23 at 1:00 pm, kids are invited to Animal Tales, and adults are invited to a program on foraging on July 23, at 5:30 pm. There’s something for everyone at the Allen County Public Library.

To get a free library card, call 270-237-3861 or stop by the library with a photo I.D. and recently postmarked mail. Then, you’ll be able to check out or download library materials.
