Allen County Public Library News – June 4, 2025

The library is open to the public Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Friends of the Library will host a used book sale on Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm in the Noble Allen Room at the Allen County Public Library.

Summer reading is here!  This year’s theme is Color Our World, and the library is ready to host a variety of events for children, families, teens, and adults this summer.  Summer reading programs help prevent the “summer slide,” when students lose some of their reading skills over the summer. Summer reading also encourages a lifelong love of reading and can improve self-esteem. If interested, register online at www.allencountylibrary.com or stop by the library.

A Summer Reading Kick-Off Event will be held in front of the library for First Fridays on the Square on Friday, June 6th, beginning at 6 PM. Families can register for Summer Reading as well as participate in an assortment of fun activities.

Tinker Time in our Maker Space is open every Friday at 2:00 pm. Register online for help with your projects, or stop by to explore the space and ask questions.
