Allen County Public Library News – September 11, 2024
The library building is open to the public Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. – to 7:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – to 4:00 p.m.
Scottsville native Hope Gibbs will visit the library on Tuesday, September 17, at 1:00 p.m. to discuss her award-winning book Where the Grass Grows Blue. The Friends of the Library will host a reception after the event. Everyone is invited to attend.
Toddlers are invited to Toddler Time on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. Parents/guardians may choose from two Pre-K Story Hours for their preschool-age child. We’ll offer the same program on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 a.m. On Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., Home-School children ages 5-12 are invited to enrichment programs. The Inbetweens, students ages 10-12, meet on Mondays at 3:30 p.m. Call 270-237-3861 to reserve your child’s place, or click on the events tab @ www.allencountylibrary.com.We hope you’ll make visiting the library a part of your weekly routine.
Tinker Time in our Maker Space is open every Friday at 2:00 pm. Register online for help with your projects, or stop by to explore the space and ask questions. Equipment includes a Poster Printer, Embroidery Machine, Cricut Vinyl Cutter, Ellison Die Cut Shapes, and more. Sign up today.
Our annual Friends of the Library book sale will occur on Friday and Saturday, September 20 and 21, 2024. If you have gently used books you’d like to donate, please drop them by the library. We appreciate the community support.
