Allen County Public Library News – September 24, 2025

The library is open to the public Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

On Saturday, October 11, the library will host a How-To Festival from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Some of the learning stations include: How to Get Local Bee Products, How to Fill Out Your FAFSA, How to Wash Your Hands, How to French-Braid Hair, How to Make a Basket, How to Prune Yard Trees, How to Care for a Pet Bunny, How to Make a Pillow Fort, How to Style Hair, How to Identify Trees with Leaves, How to Use the Maker Space, How to Drywall, How to Make Cordage from Plants, How to Make Fire Cider, How to Read Nutrition Labels, How to Stay Aware, How to Make Kitchen Compost, How to Make Quirky Flower Pots, How to Care for Sourdough, How to Make, Melt, and Pour Soap, How to Do Hands Only CPR, How to Save Seeds, and How to Make Decorative Pumpkins. There’s something for everyone at the Allen County Public Library. We appreciate the support of so many who are willing to share their knowledge and talents. Thank you!

Toddlers are invited to Toddler Time on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. Parents/guardians may choose from two Pre-K Story Hours for their preschool-age child. We’ll offer the same program on Tuesday and Friday at 10:00 a.m. On Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., Home-School children ages 5-12 are invited to enrichment programs. The Inbetweens, students ages 10-12, meet on Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. Call 270-237-3861 to reserve your child’s spot, or click on the Events tab at www.allencountylibrary.com.
