Allen County Public Library News – October 26, 2022

The library building is open to the public on Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 7:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Toddlers are invited to Toddler Time on Wednesdays at 10:00 am. Parents/guardians may choose from three Pre-K Story Hours for their preschool-age child. We’ll offer the same program on Tuesday and  Thursday at 10:00 am and on Wednesdays at 1:00 pm. Call 270-237-3861 to reserve your child’s place. On Tuesday at 1:00 pm, Home-School children ages 5-12 are invited to enrichment programs. On Thursdays at 2:00 pm, Home-School teens are invited to enrichment programs.

On Friday, October 28, children are invited to participate in the annual Trick ‘O Treat parade. Parents or adult caregivers must accompany children through the parade route. Thanks in advance to the Scottsville Police Department for agreeing to help us cross streets safely and a huge thank you to the downtown merchants who agreed to distribute treats to the kiddos.

We have an embroidery machine, 3-D printer, button maker, and Cricut (electronic cutting machine) that can cut all sorts of designs from materials like vinyl, card stock, and iron-on transfers. Space is limited to 10 people, so call 270-237-3861 to register. Patrons must be trained before reserving the maker space.

Snacks will be served at 4:45 pm. The movie will begin at 5:00 pm.

The annual Friends of the Library Book Sale is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 16 and 17. The doors open at 9:00 am and close at 4:00 pm. Books are $1.00 per bag. Stop by early and fill up your bookshelf with great reads at a great price.

Library News for September 7, 2022

The library building is open to the public on Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 7:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Toddlers are invited to Toddler Time on Wednesdays at 10:00 am. Parents may choose from three Pre-K Story Hours for their pre-school age child. We’ll offer the same program on Tuesday and  Thursday at 10:00 am and on Wednesdays at 1:00 pm. Call 270-237-3861 to reserve your child’s place. We will read the same book in each program. On Tuesday at 1:00 pm, Home-School children ages 5-12 are invited to enrichment programs.

Library News for August 31, 2022

The library building is open to the public on Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 7:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm unless it is a holiday. If you are homebound, we are happy to make non-contact home deliveries. Call 270-237-3861 to schedule home deliveries.

The library will be closed on Monday, September 5, for Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 6, at 9:00 am. Stop by early to check out library materials to enjoy through the long holiday weekend.

In September, we are resuming children’s programs. Toddlers are invited to Toddler Time on Wednesdays at 10:00 am. Parents may choose from three Pre-K Story Hours for their preschool-age child.
