Our summer reading days are Rockin’ on and living up to our the summer reading theme: LIBRARIES ROCK! Our final summer reading program will be on July 26 at 1:00 pm. Animal Tales will be here for Born to Be Wild at 1:00 pm. Kids who turned in their reading logs will get to shop in our prize store after the program. The annual Friends of the Library used book sale will be Friday and Saturday, June 1^st and 2^nd. You can buy a grocery bag full of books for one dollar ($1.00). Doors open at 9:00 am. Stop by early for the best selections.

Summer Reading registration opens on Friday, June 1.  Kids who turn in their reading logs at the end of summer will have an opportunity to choose a prize from our store. There will be bikes, guitars, keyboards, Lego kits, and more fun things from which kids can choose. Those who register and log the most reading hours will get to shop first. We offer prizes to encourage kids to keep up their reading skills, but the real reward is developing a lifelong love of reading.

On Monday, June 11 at 5:00 pm, stop by for Donuts with Dad, a Father’s Day program for kids & Dads of all ages. We’ll read If You Give a Dog a Donut and have a Father’s Day Craft. This program will showcase the importance of Dads.

This month, the library’s adult book club is reading Allie & Bea by Catherine Ryan Hyde. Pick up a copy of the book at the circulation desk and join us for book club on Tuesday,  June 20 at 1:00 PM.

Students ages 8 – 18 are invited sign up for a Youth Acrylic Art Class on Saturday, June 9 at 10:00 am. Supplies will be provided, but registration is required as space is limited to fifteen participants.

On Thursday, June 7 at 5:00 pm, teens are invited to Perler Bead Art.

Preschool children are invited to Story Hour on Tuesdays at 10:00 am. Homeschool Enrichment programs are offered on Tuesdays at 1:00, and Toddler Time is Thursdays at 10:00 am. Saturday at 1:00 pm we offer Crafternoon for all school age children. Don’t wear your best clothes for Crafternoon because we are sure to make a mess.We hope you make visiting the library a part of your child’s weekly routine.
