The library is open to the public Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Our digital library is available 24/7, giving patrons access to free e-books, audiobooks, and television shows with an active library card. Simply download the Libby and Hoopla apps to explore thousands of titles anytime.

Weekly Programs for Children

There’s always something happening at the library for young readers.

  • Toddler Time: Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. for stories, songs, and fun activities.
    Pre-K Story Hour: Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:00 a.m. (same program offered both days).
    Homeschool Enrichment: Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. for students ages 5–12.
    The In-Betweens: Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. for students ages 10–12.

Allen County Public Library – News for April 1, 2026

Our digital library is available 24/7, giving patrons free access to e-books, audiobooks, and even television shows with an active library card. Simply download the Libby and Hoopla apps to explore thousands of titles anytime, anywhere.

There’s plenty happening at the library each week for young readers and families. Toddlers are invited to join us for Toddler Time on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. for stories, songs, and fun activities. Preschoolers and their parents or guardians can attend Pre-K Story Hour on Tuesdays or Fridays at 10:00 a.m., with the same program offered both days. Homeschool students ages 5–12 are invited to enrichment programs on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m., and students ages 10–12 can take part in The In-Betweens on Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. To reserve your child’s spot, call 270-237-3861 or visit the Events tab at www.allencountylibrary.com.
