Library News for August 29, 2018

The library will be closed on Monday, September 3 for Labor Day. Stop in early to check out books, movies, and music for the holiday weekend.

In September our regular programming will resume.  It’s never too early to introduce your child to books. We offer Baby Time on Wednesdays at 2:00 pm. Toddlers are invited to Toddler Time is on Thursdays at 10:00 am. Story hour for pre-school children meets on Tuesdays at 10:00 am. Enrichment programs for Homeschool youth meet on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm. We hope you’ll make visiting the library a part of your child’s weekly routine.

If you want to learn how to knit to crochet, Loose Ends will teach you. Stop by the library on Tuesdays at 3:30 pm.  First time crafters will be supplied with a crochet hook, knitting needles, and yarn to start.

The Perler Bead Club for teens will meet on Tuesday, September 6 at 5:00 pm.

Let us know if you want to join the Cook Book Club. This month’s cook book to review is Williams-Sonoma Vegetable of the Day: 365 Recipes for Every Day of the Year by Kate McMillan. Ask for a copy of this book at the circulation desk.  Participants are asked to try out recipes and share the results with the others. Space is limited, so you must pre-register to attend.

Jefferson Parker, Sweet Little Lies by Caz Frear, Deckwater Secrets by Robin Caroll, Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, The Breakers by Marcia Muller,  As the Tide Comes In by Cindy Woodsmall & Erin Woodsmall, Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter, Feared by Lisa Scottoline, Texas Free by Janet Dailey, John Woman by Walter Mosley, and Stygian by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
