Library News for June 13, 2018

Thank you to everyone who made the Friends of the Library book sale a success.  Many children and adults left the building with bags of books, thanks to donations.  A special thank you to the ladies from the Allen County Detention Center who helped us set up and put away the books we didn’t sell.  Also, a special thank you to Regina Carter for organizing the entire event. We appreciate all the Friends of the Library who volunteered to work.

Summer Reading registration is open. Kids who turn in their reading logs at the end of summer will have an opportunity to choose a prize from our store. There will be bikes, guitars, keyboards, Lego kits, and more fun things from which kids can choose. Those who register and log the most reading hours will be the first to shop. We offer prizes to encourage kids to keep up their reading skills, but the real reward is developing a lifelong love of reading.
