Allen County Public Library News – August 9, 2023

 The library building is open to the public on Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 7:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

If you’d like to learn to knit or crochet, join us for Strings’ n Things on Wednesdays at 2:30. We’ll provide new participants with a starter kit. All you need to do is register for the program under our events tab and show up.

On Monday, August 14, at 5:00 pm, adults are invited to learn the Balloon Kiss Pour Paint art technique. Space is limited, so register under our events tab. All supplies will be provided.

We have two book clubs that meet on the third Tuesday of each month. Books on the Square meets at 1:00 m, and There’s a Mystery at the Library meets at 5:00 pm. Stop by the circulation desk to pick up this month’s book club selection.

All school-age children are invited to Lego My Library on Saturday, August 19, at 11:00 am. Ms. Abby will have a fun build challenge. Don’t forget to register for this free event under our events tab.

To get a free library card, call 270-237-3861 or stop by the Library with a photo I.D. and a recently postmarked piece of mail. Then you’ll be able to check out or download library materials. Also, please let us know if there’s a particular book, movie, or music artist you would like added to the collection. We’ll do our best to fulfill your requests.
