Library News for July 27, 2022

The library building is open to the public on Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 7:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Summer reading is winding down. THANK YOU, Pizza Hut, for donating gift certificates for personal pan pizzas to 194 kids who turned in their reading logs on time. We appreciate your support.

It’s been a fantastic summer, thanks to the parents, grandparents, and caregivers who registered and attended their children for our summer reading program. We appreciate all the workers at the CORE and the Boys and Girls Clubs who included their kids in Summer Reading. It was wonderful to see our library active with kids and teens. Please, keep coming weekly. We hope you’ll make visiting the library a part of your weekly routine.

On Friday, August 5, at 6:00 pm, families with children five years and under are invited to stop by our First Friday booth in front of the library for Kindergarten Readiness. Is your child ready for the classroom? Parents will learn teacher expectations for students entering kindergarten. Parents will also pick up skills they can use to begin preparing their children for kindergarten. Parents will receive free classroom materials until we run out of supplies. Kids will have the opportunity to complete a chalk obstacle course and more. We hope to see you there.
