Library News for July 20, 2022

The library building is open to the public on Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 7:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Summer reading is winding down. If you registered for Summer Reading and want to earn your prize package, reading logs are due on Friday, July 22, 2022, by 4:00 pm. A huge THANK YOU to Pizza Hut for donating coupons for a free personal pan pizza to be included in our summer reading prize package Teens who registered for summer reading must turn in their completed BINGO sheets by 4:00 pm on Friday, July 22, 2022, to earn your prizes.

On Thursday, July 21, at 1:00 pm, kids of all ages are invited to attend Barry Mitchell’s, Magic Show. At 2:00 pm on the same day, teens are invited to participate in a Pirate Scavenger Hunt.

On Tuesday, July 26, at 1:00 pm, kids of all ages are invited to see Ed May & the Runaway Puppet Theater. This is the grand finale for the Summer Reading program for kids. Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, and guardians for bringing your kids to the library this summer.

To get a free library card, call 270-237-3861 or stop by the library with a photo I.D. and a recently postmarked piece of mail. Then you’ll be able to check out or download library materials. Also, if there’s a particular book, movie, or music artist you would like added to the collection, please let us know. We’ll do our best to fulfill your requests.
